Import Vespa from Thailand?

Post new topic

SoCha

Hi - I know there are a lot of "should I import" questions, and the general concensus is no.  I have a used Vespa - 2013, 150 cc's, sport.  I bought it in Thailand, where vespas are much cheaper than in Europe or elsewhere (they are made in Vietnam).  Has anyone imported one and have a sense of the duties?  There seems to be a Vespa dealer on the island, but the prices are very high, almost twice what my scooter is worth.

Thoughts?

Not worth the effort to be honest.  I've never imported but from all the threads and chats i've had with people you will probably end up paying the same amount as buying one here.  (I was looking at importing a KTM Duke, everytime it came out more expensive than buying locally)
I would suggest, sell it in Thailand, but a new one here.  Yes its more expensive but WAY less hassle.
