For the past 3 years, we have gone without insurance. To visit our local hospital is less than $20. We go here for bronchitis, ear infections, minor things mostly and if we need something more they refer us to bigger hospital in the nearby city. To see a private doctor for a check up is $50 or so. A CAT scan is $150. So my point is that unless you have something major, health care is affordable in Chile and the quality is good.
As for insurance, ISAPRE is the private insurance provider. Don't know the rates. FONASA is the public insurance. FONASA A & B  is for indigents and senior citizens and provides 100% coverage. FONASA C & D  you can purchase and provides 90% and 80% coverage at all public hospitals and a small co-pay for private hospitals for a modest fee. ISAPRE has caps for pre existing conditions but FONASA does not.

We don't have insurance either. Medical care is good and reasonably priced down here unlike the US. We have had 2 ER room visits that both included stitches. 150 dollars USD each. Those would have been 800-1000 each in the US.
