Importing Dog from US

Hello all,

I'm moving to Ghana at the end of this month, and am having some problems obtaining an import permit for my dog. She has all of her vaccinations, but the requirements about the tests she needs prior are what's giving me issues. Any advice on this?

Contact the Department of Veterinary Services at vsdghana@gmail.com or +233302775377 to get the permit or pay 250 cedis when you arrive.

So you're basically saying that I can just show up with my dog, I pay 250 ghs and then they give her to me? Any other documents that I need?聽

I contacted VSD by email and got a local vet that sent me the info, then stopped responding...I will give them a call in the morning though. Thank you for your help.

I have never brought a dog here and got the information from noworriesghana.com

I'm looking to bring my dog from los angeles to Accra and am having the same challenges with not being able to do the blood work. Were you able to figure out how to bring your dog? Any advice you have would be much appreciated!
