In spain , are there so much places to spent your holidays, There are diferents possibilities, if you want to be far o near from a crowdy town or a small fisher town. I have been in south of spain, Tarifa is great, is surf paradise, everybody goes to tarifa to practice nautical sports, but you can find beatiful places around all spain.

Puna, do you speak any Spanish? If you do, Cadiz could be a good place for you, as there are not so many English speaking expats there. On the other hand any of so called pueblo blancos in central and eastern part of Andalusia (Malaga and Granada regions) have up to 25% of expats living there during the winter months.
Most of them are retirees from Scandinavia, Germany and Great Britain, not so many younger people as unemployment in Spain is up to 40% nowadays, so jobs are not there. But good food, beautiful surrounding and friendly people are. It is easy to rent an apartment for winter months: easier and a lot cheaper if you can search Spanish language sites, far more expensive if you were limited to English language sites.
I have lived in Almunecar (close to Nerja, which was previously mentioned, but in Granada province) for almost a year some years ago, and i can see that real estate prices ( also for rentals) went down substantially from before recession levels, so take advantage.

I live and work in Jerez de la Frontera, which is in Cadiz province.
As it has been already mentioned, unemployment is very high in theses parts. If you need a job, you will need to speak Spanish.
If you are coming without the need to work, the Costa de la Luz is certainly the place you describe.

If you need any info on the costal or inland towns and villages of Cadiz, just ask! If you choose a place and need help on where to find rental property and can point you in the right direction.
