New to the site  :)   Just bought a couple of beach front properties just out of La Ceiba -- but considering buying more.  Any words of wisdom ??   Had anyone heard of Recap investments ?   Trying to do my due diligence and have been unable to find any dirt on them -- is that possible ??

We own a villa iPalma Real, but also own 2/3 of an acre (front row lot) in Trujillo Beach Echo Development (TBED), which we bought using Recap. It is for sale, if you are interested....relatively new development but a number of villas and a couple of condo buildings have been built on it so far. Recap is also selling mountain-top properties about 10 minutes from the airport in La Ceiba...place is called Corinto Pearl....they also have new developments in Costa Rica and Panama which are just starting out. They have had some issues, with full progression of the TBED property, mostly (I believe) because they got a little too ambitious in spreading their wings and trying to develop Corinto Pearl, and the Costa Rica and Panama developments at the same time....anyway they are doing their best to proceed and have built at least two condo buildings, on the beach, in TBED.

They were spreading their wings 5 years ago.when saying direct beachfront... Then saying we are 99% sold out when they had another 200 lots waiting in the wings.

Chris, my lot is a front row lot!...Recap NEVER advertised direct beach front! I know you have a "vested interest" in putting thes people down but sometimes peoples' actions come back and "bite" them....

Hello,

Trujillo Eco Beach is not just out of La Ceiba, is even a bit further from Trujillo, about 4 hours from La Ceiba.  Nothing wrong with the development if you don´t mind its location.  I just do not believe the promise the make about 15 to 20 percent appreciation. If you want true appreciation you better chose a few miles east of La Ceiba where the Beachfront Hotels are.  I get a lot of emails from owners of developments that promised appreciation and high rental that want to sell.

    I agree with Margo.

      Have a sunny day

Thank you, Caesar!

  Same name, different language.

"I agree with Margo" ... What does that mean ? Agree and disagree at the same time ? Look at what she typed/stated and what you have to say and how much percent do you agree with her ?

CesarLaCeiba

So you need details???

honduraschris

She said "NEVER" .... I guess all the Canadians that thought they had direct beachfront that were disappointed after making an online/ never to be seen purchase then arrive and had and still are frustrated. Just like I had mentioned in another post regarding a few of their clients purchasing the last lot or in the corner to find out a few years later they are now in the middle. The advertisements were and still are not up to the test although 2-3 years ago were aweful at best.
