Dear All,
So I'm going to start to fill in the application form for my fiancé visa and would love to receive suggestions from all you who has gone through this same experience. When they ask 'give a description of your relationship', what are they actually asking? Should I write information on detail basis about our day-to-day activities? Should I include the lovey dovey part of our story? I would very much appreciate if anyone could give me an example.
Best,
Jacqueline
I was told that you should write as detailed as possible. Anything you can think of.
Add in as many pictures as possible. Not only pictures of you and your bf.....pictures of you both with friends and families as well so that they know your relationship is real and public to everyone.
As you can use separate sheets to write your answers, My suggestion would be write proper detailed summary of your relationship along with proofs you can present i.e. pics, chat screenshots etc. Try to be honest and to the point regarding relationship milestones.
Hi,
Have you got any example for how to answer the questions. I do not know how detailed should I write and in how many pages?
there is no limits on how detailed you want to put in and how much extra pages you want to add in.
I downloaded the document into word document so that I can just type in my information.
I put in very detailed as in which year and month we met, how we were introduced and how was my impression of him. I also mentioned how we started to like each other and what happened during the courtship. We went overseas together once so I also mentioned about how our relationship deepen during this trip and why. The experiences we had during the trip, etc etc.
I am sure if you are in a REAL relationship, there are LOTS to write about.

There cannot be any example as everyone has their own different story. Just tell describe all your important events of relationship.
I made an event calendar and put pictures for some of the events, it became 10 pages now!!!
Hope they have patience to read
Wish me luck

Where to put the photos ? I mean should they be in electronic form or in printed form ? Can you tell me also other questions that are were given to you to answer? Thank you
You can print the photos on blank papers and attached them to the checklist which you need to submit to the authority.
As for the questions, you can find them in the checklist online in UDI website for the permit application.
And what about the documents (the copies) . Shoud I bring the original documents first to apostile stamp and then make a copies or
-to make first copies of the original documents and then to bring them to put an apostile stamp(the copies to ha e original stamp not copy of the stamp)
If you can understand my question ☺
Heads up before submission:
Make sure all documents are in A4 paper. I submitted my docs last March 28 in VFS Cebu, some of which were in short sized bondpaper, others were long and docs from Norway were in A4. I ended up paying 5pesos each because I had to photocopy every documents that were not on A4 paper. So, to spare you from the hassle and paying more, make sure all docs have the same paper size.
Goodluck!

In Norway, I have to bring along the originals because the staff in UDI will check through them again. It is best that you bring them along when submitting the documents.

Hi,
You need to have it authenticated from DFA Manila. I had mine done thru DHL Ramos. It costs about 1k plus and they give 10-15 working days before you can have it.
Hello
After u have authenticate your documents in dfa manila did you have to authenticate it also in consular office in norway embass manila?..

Hi,
I didnt have to. After having the Red Ribbon documents, I submitted it to the VFS Center/Norwegian Embassy along with other supporting documents listed in the UDI checklist.

Hi, if you have the things the UDI checklist asked for..it should go fine. I dont know where you will send in your application but if you hand it through VFS center then, you need all the papers in A4 otherwise you will have to reprint/photocopy all the documents again. There hasnt been questions/interview in sending in requirements for the application in vfs centers. It took me almost 3weeks minus some holidays to get my visa approved. It goes so fast when the documents needed are covered. Goodluck with the application
Thanks..i will submit my docu in vfs norway embassy manila and i hope it goes well and dont have any problem...😊😊â˜
Hi,
I would just like to know if the photos you include to apply for the fiance visa are hard copies or scanned from the computer then have it printed?
Also, what is the equivalent size of an A4 paper? Is it the short bondpaper? Hope you guys will enlighten me.
Thanks!

Hi Dianey, I printed my photos and posted it on a paper. But hard copies or scanned will do fine...just make sure its visible enough. A4 is a bit longer than a short bondpaper...we dont normally use it in the Philippines but I think, you can find it in National Bookstore. 😊
Thanks for the info! Guess I will re-print my docs using the A4 size paper. Had it printed in a short bondpaper. ðŸ˜
The A4 size measures 21.0 x 29.7cm, (8.27 x 11.69 inches) and is the standard size for documents in Europe.
I see. Thanks for the info. Appreciate it. 😊
Hello, is there anyone here got engaged in a short span of time? Me and my fiancé(Norwegian) got engaged on our 2nd month while we are traveling in Georgia and we are planning to apply fiancé visa on our 7month(we will be going to the Philippines and apply there because i am working here in Qatar and he's in Norway) is there a chance that they will deny it coz of short span as bf/gf? We only met twice and the third one will be when we will apply for the fiancé visa. Thanks for the response
you just need an abundance of correspondence showing the relstiondhip us genuine
so print alk tge text messages.... e-mails....collect all the photos....cards .....so you can proof tge love between yoy guys and they should have no reasons to question the validity of your intentions to marry in such short time
but only present it if they question it do not volunteer tomuch info as they could conclude that you planned it all....
so ask questions but do not volunteer answers
goodluck
Thanks for the respond @Eleda79. I will surely do it. 😊 My fiancé and i just can't wait to be together. Long distance are really hard but it will be worth to wait 😊
hi! so is it also needed that my fiance would be writing his side of the story? because i saw in UDI, "description of relationship from the reference amd the applicant" that is why Im wondering about this one.
Hi, Publuishnotebook... 😊
Yes... Both of you will have to write your own description of your relationship. I practically wrote a full essay while my fiancé wrote only one concise paragraph. HAHAHA! 😂😂😂
Hugs!
The UDI actually passed me a set of questionaire that my hub needed to fill in and mail back to them when I submitted my application and documents.
I guess that is the documents where your spouse put in their description of the relationship.
Hi! is there anyone here submitted there fiance visa application in vfs manila last november 2017. How was you progress? Any updates? Thanks 😊
