Visa for KSA* Please Help!

Post new topic

MOJO1

Hi All

I have been offered a role in KSA & was hoping to travel in next fortnight. As you can imagine a real exciting time looking forward to new chalenges.

However today I have been refused a Visa from consulate due to my qualifications not matching job title on Visa bloc. I have spoken to my prospective employers who have advised that they will draft a letter which will support my case & then resubmit for approval.

I'm slightly confused especially as have been told to hand my notice in. I don't know how much sway this letter will hold & worry if refused again will I have any options?

Any knowledge or experience in these matters would be greatly appreciated.

To explain, how this happens is each employer gets limited number of visas and some times may not even get Visas for the business function they are in. For Ex, a  mechanical company may get 5 Tailor/Plumber VISAS and hence all mechanical engineers he will try to bring into KSA will come on a TAILOR/Plumber visa because the employer doenst have a Mechanical Engineer Visa on hand, but he needs people to come in and work for him. Employers cant aply for a new Visa once he has an open Visa with him, so its a tricky situation.

Its a hard truth that these rejections happens due to the way above things works.

What are your qualifications and what is your "Job Profession" in your Visa?

Thanks for your response:

Visa is for Marketing Specialist, Qualifications are in Business & Finance Management.

The consulate might have thought THAT these r not related, which may be true. Now ur employer would need to convence the consulate office that both these r interlinked and you r the person that exactly fits into the job.

This can happen if ur employer have influence in consulate and Hopefully, ur case will be listened.

Best Of Luck. :top:

Thanks I have my fingers crossed but feel it may take more then just a letter to influence the consulate.

Do you know of any other avenues the employer may use if this fails?

I Think Your employer honestly trying to bring you in to the "Marketting Specialist" profession visa, which I think can be considered as a supervisor job Visa, which enables you to bring your Family into KSA. Please do note that only people with certain professions stamped on their visas can bring their family into the kingdom. You may be a well-paid doctor or an engineer, but if your visa says that your profession is, for example, a laborer, then you cannot bring your family because laborers cannot afford / are not allowed to keep their families with them. Never mind if you are not one, but that's what your visa says! Strange, isn't it, but that's how it works here. You will also not be allowed to take a car driving license for certain lower level categories. Please check this list of job professions that allows families in with ur embassy as this list keeps changing all the time.

If this doesnt work out, he may try to get you in with another professions Visa, however he may not gurantee to get a Visa which allows you to get you the family and people who have simply come on such visas have faced the herculean and near-impossible task of changing their job titles after landing in the kingdom.

One advise I can give is "DONT BE DESPARATE TO COME IN WITH ANY TYPE OF JOB PROFESSION IN YOUR VISA". Have patience and have an ambicale dialogue with ur employer.

Thanks for your insight, really useful. I'll just have to wait & see I suppose.

Julien

Guys, could you PLEASE stop QUOTING LONG POSTS ?

Thanks !

MOJO1

My understanding is that only certain roles have family status.

uvnpsaradhi

For some time in the early parts of 2010, there was some speculation that this rule will be changed and the family visa depends only on the salary of the person and not on the "Job Profession mentioned in the VISA, however later officials confirmed that there is no such change in the rules and hence the rules stays where it was.

"The family visa is very much linked to the profession on your iqama. We have issued and are issuing family visas to only those in white-collar jobs such as engineers, doctors and executives. The financial status of the applicant is only one of the conditions.´Ï
