Working for local Government jobs in Gibraltar

Post new topic

Rshelly

Hi everyone, my names Roland and I've just joined the group. I'm hoping to move to Gibraltar for lifestyle reasons at the end of summer but I'm doing so with the understanding that I'm going to have to try and get a job outside of my occupation as a town planner. I've worked in local government most of my career so far and I'd like to try and seek work of some sort within the gibraltan local government if possible, but I've heard this might not be so easy. Can anyone shed any light on this or give advice on alternatives??

Any advice would be great, and if anyone fancies a beer come end of April when I'm on holiday on the rock, let me know!

I fancy the beer but don't fancy your chances of a Government job in Gib.

wishful thinking

Hi Roland, there was a job vacancy recently for a town planner. It was advertised on one of the job pages on Facebook so might be a good idea to join some of those. Try Gib Jobs, Gibwork and jobs Gibraltar. Having said that, like Grumpy says,  it's very difficult to get a government job unless you are Gibraltarian 😁 Good Luck!
