About Oman prometric exam

Hi everybody im Dr Noor a gynecologist with 5 yrs experience I have done DGO n my mrcog part is cleared only . At present im in salalah for visit. To utilise this chance i decided to give omani prometric exam but I don't know from where I shall start . Kindly guide me with this issue how can I apply where I can appear and what I need to revise n also if u can give me rough estimation regarding salary package in oman for someone like me thank u in anticipation.

Hello Dr Noor,
I am practicing as a Specialist Pediatrician In Oman. You need to have minimum 3 years experience post your degree to apply for the prometric Oman exam. You can google the prometric exam,go to their site,and apply for the dates for your exam. The exam is an MCQ based exam,of which you need to get 60% passing marks. There is no negative marking. Read all your gynaecology MCQS which we generally do for the entrance exams. For me in Pediatrics,I had some direct one liners and some were case scenarios. And whatever I have known through my Gynaecology colleagues,they had the same exam pattern too. Salary is very variable,and now with Covid,it is again expected to decrease. But again this depends on individual hospital and your experience.
