How long does it take to get a omani labour card here in salalah

Can anyone answer of how long does it take to get my labour card..i am finished with my medical all i need to do is go the police to process my labour card.thanks.

Hi Jaoserizal,

By yourself, you will not be entertained by the Directorate General of Residency Status.

All these official activities have to be done compulsorily along with an Omani who must either be your sponsor / company PRO. Without an Arabic speaking Omani to do the needed, you cannot do anything.

If all the required papers are in place, then getting a 'Resident Card' is a matter of a couple of hours, at the most.

Does It Really takes two months and more to have our Labour card?
We where hired by one company in Oman via agency in our country. And our contract will only start after we have our license from MOH and Labour card. Our contract is 3 yrs and its like it will be 3yrs and 2mos. Those 2mos also is not paid fully.. <sigh> :?
