Master's in Norway: GPA for admission and criteria

Pasteldenata

Hi,

Most universities say they require a GPA of at least C in the ECTS scale for their Master degrees.

Is this absolutely mandatory? Does someone with a lower GPA still have a chance of getting in?

Has anyone applied with a lower grade a been accepted?

Thank you.

I'm sure you could inquire at the relevant university about exceptions, but it may be doubtful.  Graduate degrees are more challenging and demanding of students, and having an insufficient GPA is usually indicative that one is not prepared, or likely to succeed in such a program.

You might consider retaking some of your classes first to raise your GPA to the required level.
