Are there any English-speaking social networks on Djerba?

Post new topic

I'm an American woman who is retired and seeking social contacts on Djerba. I plan to move there soon (currently living on Kerkennah.) I speak French but would like to make contacts with English speakers of any nationality. Horse-lovers, garden lovers, creative types especially!

Hey and how are you? I just moved from Djerba to Kasserine. It has been a rough time to find many English (fluent) speaking people here. Djerba is a nice place to be. Fill free to contact me any time.  ;)

Hey, hi.. and thank for your reply. I will be traveling down to Djerba next week to see a couple of properties but  wanted to learn about any possibilities for socializing before I make the move, hence this thread. Kerkennah is very limited in that respect. I'm not a party girl, but feel too isolated in present location (been here for almost one year now.) How did you find living on Djerba? What town did you live in? How do you like Kasserine?

Djerba, in Houmt Souk near the sea, was nice. My favorite place for coffee is next door to Bleu Hotel (very relaxing to si it outside and look at the water and people watch). Most everyone is friendly there. More English is spoken there than where we both are. Lol!
Kasserine is where my fiancée has a home. It is completely different. Its like a desert with houses. Hhhh. Not much shopping like Djerba and I haven't seen a restaurant. But I AM very close to Chaambi Mtn.
