Life here is very peaceful. I defiantly don't feel the stress I did in Paris or even Canada for that matter

Hey! I'm probably going to be moving to Kyoto in August for 6 months... I like the fact that you said you speak bad bad bad Japanese... that will be me too. :)

I've been living in Kyoto and it has treated me very well so far.  1.5 million people, but feels so much smaller:  I can bike across town in 45 minutes and see familiar faces all the time. 

The Kamagawa runs through the middle of Kyoto, the mountains are a short bus/train ride away, and the people are amazing.
