In all honesty, I would not recommend you to use an agency, there are too many of them by now and given you already have a lot of experience and you are also native English speaker, I would recommend you to check out directly on some platforms like LinkedIn.ie or Monster.ie to get to know what companies are currently hiring in Dublin with some similar roles you're currently doing now and you apply directly on their official website. That will go quicker for the hiring process as agencies these days tend to be very slow or very clumsy so sometimes you apply to jobs that interest you and then they just forget about you or come back to you at the very last minute and you can't be either correctly organized or well prepared for your interviews.

Use any agencies as last resort if you can't find anything on your own.

Depending of course on your visa situation, any agency in Ireland that covers your sector will be happy to assist you. Applying directly to companies is definitely recommended. However, agencies often have access to jobs not advertised elsewhere and an insight into the company/culture which can be very useful. I won't list loads of agency names here but if you need advice feel free to message me.

The easiest option would be to obtain Irish citizenship by descent; this will take you to the Irish Government website that describes the process.聽 Your surname is largely irrelevant in the immigration process.

If you don't qualify for citizenship, then it really depends on what your skill set is, because the Irish Government have recently introduced the "Highly Skilled Eligible Occupations List"; this will again take you to the Irish Government website that lists all the professions that providing you can get a job offer, they are currently permitting to move to Ireland on a work visa.聽 This would apply both to you and your husband (you mentioned a maiden name).聽 Unfortunately, if you don't qualify from the list, then you have no chance of currently getting into Ireland.

There are no names to forward to you.聽 Basically, if you have a skill that the Irish government can use, you can look for work and apply for a residence permit, if you haven't, then you have no chance.聽 Please read the "Ireland - Work Permits" thread on this forum.

I am a qualified teacher but won't be able to teach over there. I am looking for jobs in marketing or reception. Will it be possible for me to find a job without having obtained a degree or qualification in that specific field?

No agencies in Ireland employ only South Africans; what agencies there are, are there for everybody.聽 Google will help you find them.

I'm puzzled why you say you're a qualified teacher but won't be able to teach, you may want to check that out; the Citizens Information website will be an excellent place to start; this will take you straight to it.

To work in other fields; a degree without any experience is really not the best way forward, especially if you've been out of the higher education area for more than 5 years.聽 My advice is to join LinkedIn, then search around for people in your peer group, and find out what work is available, and where.

I don't think there's an agency that would recruit a nationality in particular. I would suggest that you create your CV in the Jobs in Ireland section, read the articles under the work section of the Guide and perhaps contact Recruitment Agencies in Ireland registered in the business directory.
