Park entry fees

Post new topic

I have heard non-residents pay a lot higher park entry fees and do not have "free entry" days.
Do you pay local or foreign park entries? Does the official foreign price apply in other places (museums, amusements...)? Does work visa allow you to pay these tico prices? Thanks.

As a legal Resident or with a valid work visa, you will get some additional discounts at some businesses or at a few attractions...although these may be only be offered 'off season'.
with a 'Cuidadano de oro' card get free entry into National parks or discounts elsewhere.

Hey has anyone here gotten a Ciudano de Oro card? I applied 3 weeks ago online and have never heard anything from them. Do I have to call or - this is my guess - are they just super slow at processing these?

Applying for it at the CAJA office takes over a month, but have no idea when applying on line. Suggest you go to your local CAJA/CCSS office.
