I recommend you to google "aliyah". Even so you don't want to make aliyah you will find many useful things and information, e.g. about driving liscense, flat/job hunt, etc. Check also with the Israeli embassy about your visa options. Not making Aliyah means other visa / permission to stay regulations you should check out. Ask also about work permit, if its possible for you to get it or not without Aliyah.
Do you speak Hebrew? Consider making a language course.
