Paying bills in Chile

Post new topic

Priscilla

Hello everyone,

What bills do you pay? If you are renting, are bills included in the price of rent, and is this common practice in Chile?

How can you pay your bills (e.g. online, at provider's store, at the post office)? Which is the most convenient or reliable way?

With what frequency are different bills sent in Chile? Are there different deadlines for payment?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Hello:
the Bills you have to pay are specified in your rental agreement. Sometimes the agreement include a common fee (set for maintenance  and services like  water and gas)
Most of the time if you rent an apartment, you have to pay by yourself the following:
- Electricity
- Internet, Phone and Cable TV services ( most of the time you have to sign a contract with one company for all of them)
You  can pay your bills  in some supermarkets
You can also pay your bills in a company named Servipack; There are many branches in different areas in many cities all over the country.
Hope this might be of help.
Regards;
