Keeping in touch while living in Hong Kong

Post new topic

Priscilla

Hello everyone,

What are the best ways you've found for keeping in touch with friends and family back home while living in Hong Kong? How frequently do you stay in touch with loved ones?

Are there local equivalents to common instant messaging and online video calling services that you prefer or are more widely used?

If there is a sizeable time difference, how do you manage this?

Do you make international phone calls from a landline or mobile phone from Hong Kong? What do you think of the cost?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

I keep in touch with my friends and family members
via email
via 009...telephone service
via skype.
The time difference of 7 hours is easy managable and to call to the USA, either I can call in the evening ater 22.00 or in the early morning about 06.00 to 8.00 a.m.
Kind regards Hans Dieter
