Application date is in his post above. Usually first status (en traitement) appears in a month or so after the file is sent from consulate.

Yes, family reunion visa. The date of application was Nov 9 and the application was registered at the Immigration office on the 15th of December. Then for a long time there was no updates until 2 days ago. To me it seems that there are a lot of pending applications and it's just taking time to go through them.
