Hi, can someone give me some advice please regarding clothing.
I am a mature lady who is visiting India, touring around, for 6 wks, mid March to April.
I am planning to wear cotton caftan's and long dresses but are 'spagetti strap' dresses ok or do I need to cover my shoulders?
I always carry a scarf to cover my head when in conservative areas or when visiting religious sites.
Any help is most welcome

Hi Peta. I am a mature woman travelling in South India. My experience is that your shoulders need to be covered. However I met an Italian lady the other day that said that some beach areas are slightly more relaxed. Maybe bring one spaghettit strapped dress if you fancy it.
