Hi, I am touring around India for 6 weeks march /april. Can someone tell me if alcohol is available at most hotels or is India 'dry'
Not a problem either way but a glass of wine with dinner is nice

Not all restaurants serve alcohol in India. There are specific ones which have the license to do so. There are plenty of bars in all major cities, except some states/provinces that are dry. Also there are liquor shops (again depending on the state or province, this may vary) where you can buy.
