I want my brand new car to be in San Miguel, what is the very best way, considering, money, safety, etc to get it from Arizona to San Miguel? We have talked to so many people and keep getting different
answers, some of them scary, like they could take the car away on the way down and we could never see it again. We were also told we have to drive it ourselves or it will get taken if the owner is not driving. We would love to send some of our things down with the car in a truck but one company said 12,000 dollars. Is that true. Our time is coming up we have a house rented in May, yikes I'm feeling scared! Help

You can only import a 10 year old + car into Mexico - one option would be to drive it down yourself with a 6 month permit.  I would stick to federal highways, drive in the day be aware.

If you haven't already solved this problem, you can get an import agent to help you. You didn't say where the car is located. You haven't mentioned getting a permit for the car.
