What are the types of jobs that are easily accessible to expats in Russia?

What are the ones most in-demand for expats?

Which industry and/or jobs have limited workforce?

English teachers are in high demand, but the pay is often low and companies exploitative. I have met quite a few programmers, engineers, and IT specialists here on sponsored visas as well. Translation or proofreading is also a big market for native English speakers.

I was in Russia in Novokuznetsk no jobs for foreigners. I wanted to drive a bus. Too much trouble and waste of time. Starting a business like selling garments is more possible.

Oh, I may visit Russia and I thought there are jobs for engineers there. Sad to hear that

Hi, everyone. I think i could be very helpfull here. I'm an HR manager wit experience over 7 years. I work for a huge retail company here in Novosibirsk, Russia.
According to the job opportunities I may say, that IT, engeneering, educational spheres are highly demanded here. As particulary for engeneers i suppose that you would find your job with high or even very-high wages in Far-East Regions, but it's really cold there))). If you need any help with russian resumes, feel free to contact me.

Thanks Rina for your worthy message, I knew engineers are needed there so that I have stepped forward and started to attend Russian language for increasing my opportunities and to avoid the language obstacle. So it will take some months to end my course. I have a resume on LinkedIn and hh.ru but in english. Thanks for help

@Priscilla

bureaucrats = unless you are a rare accountant with high knowledge in both russian and "foreign" systems AND speaking russian very well your life will be just miserable .

technicians = just go hh.ru and watch , they dont need , they dont urgently need , they AGRESSIVELY need like if it is an EMERGENCY !!! but keep in mind if you are engineer but not russian speaker it is a problem if you cant expose your work to a commitee , youll have to downgrade to a level you dont need to talk a lot .

plus , if you job involves security , you will have to pass some tests to validate your skills , sabotage and treason are severly punished in russia .

if you need to be taken in charge for help :

welcome-to-,russia.com
