When applying for a 3 month visa from Switzerland is it ok to book the return ticket with a 5 month stay and then prolong the visa when in Thailand?聽 Cannot get an answer to this over here!

When you arrive at Bangkok airport, you will fill out an arrival & departure card before you go thru immigration/customs. The airline usually gives you this on your flight.聽 The departure card I have from Jan 2018 only has a place to list your return flight number, not a date, so you should be ok. And, they have never asked me to see my return ticket/reservation.
