I'm planning on moving to Germany this summer. I've been in the Czech Republic for the last 2 years and would like advice as far as what is required (ie,paperwork) to get a residence permit in Germany and how long it takes. If any other Americans have been through the process and can offer some tips, I'd appreciate it!

Hi there. Anyone who would guide me in getting a Residence Permit for Germany.I intend to move with my family (wife & 2 kids) for better future of my siblings.I feel blessed being born in Germany. I was born on 1st June 1956, Bonn, BadGodesberg, Germany.I possess the Original German Birth Certificate.My father was posted in the Pakistan Embassy, Bonn from 1955 till we moved back to Pakistan in 1959. Presently I am residing in Lahore, Pakistan. I shall be profoundly grateful for any kind of advice,guidance.
