Hello there every one,

Its good to see such a wonderful forum here with so many responses in very quick time from all the members. I am quite impressed.

I have a couple of questions if you all can help me out in my concerns.

I got a job offer from a reputed firm in Jeddah. I am an Electrical Engineer from Purdue University, Indianapolis,USA.

My employer has send me an business invitation in my name and I got my visit Visa also. The employer says that when u be in Jeddah we will have the contract sign and then they will apply for my work visa.

I would like to know how much time it take for the work visa thing.
And my understanding is only after my work visa I can call my family to KSA or there is some other way also for calling my family? How much time I should forsee of calling my family???

Please please please...guide me and help me out in this...

Thanks a bunch..

Mustafa

Hey Mustafa!

Based on the information you have given,

Looks like your employer will apply for the work visa after the probation or the business doesn't have enough time to apply for the work visa and wants to do a visit visa first.

To answer your question regarding bringing your family, I would say 3 months after you get your work visa.

You can also bring in your family on a visit visa.

This just my 2 cents. Been in Jeddah for 2 months now and I may be wrong about this.

Hi Mustafa,

you can call your family once you have work visa not after 3 months.but about your question about the work visa; it depends on your employer if he has work visa, or may be he want to give your probation period to be assure him self then he will issue the work visa.

I'm ready to any question from you
