Greetings to all, As a retired Army veteran and a law abiding citizen that believe in our 2nd amendment, i want to protect my family no matter what country i live in. I am curious to know if anyone here has gone or is going though the process of getting a conceal carry permit in Santo Domingo?. I have read other blogs and people are saying it could take up to a year and around $1k.

Seeing the security guards is pretty normal here.聽 Most banks have them, scales stores will have them.聽 They are often under trained and badly paid.

In many ways it's like window dressing, it's expected.聽聽

Carrying -聽 means you feel a need to protect something.聽 In many ways it's like creating a giant target on yourself.

My suggestion is live here a couple years and after that do what you feel you need to do. It will take you that long to get through the process.
