Blacklisted in the Philippines

Post new topic

Superlive182

I went to Manilla last year and was detained by immigration. They said I was blacklisted because 18 years ago I was put on the sex register list in the USA. They wanted to see papers that I was off the list but I never got papers. So I assume if I get papers I can get back in. Who do I see for these papers?

the good thing is that the Filipino immigration has explained the reasons of the non-entry to their country, since you have never done anything wrong there, so no worries, yes you can enter with no problems to the Philippines as long as you are no longer in that list. Best regards

Personally I would firstly contact NBI:

Superlive, welcome to the forum, a little info that I found out of curiosity.

long do you have to be registered as a sex offender?

Q. How long does a sex offender have to register? A. If he was convicted of a sexually violent offense they will register for the rest of their life. If it was for a non-sexually violent offense they will register for the duration of their supervision plus ten years.

If you are unsure google the info and as mikael suggest contact the NBI and or the relative body in your home country.
Good luck.

Cheers, Steve.

Thank you for your reply to my post about blacklist ed in the Philippines. Yes, other people have told me what u have say about it. I was a level one offender. Possession of a video only. I got probation. And I never had a run in with the law since. It was a sting. The Judge did not like that. After probation. I had to report where I moved to and fill out paperwork as to cars I own, body marks, internet names I used, yes. And they take your photo every 3 years. All this u have to go through  for 20 years. It is like probation for 20 years.

Probation was for 3 years.

Thank you for your reply to my post. Can u please be more specific. Is there a person in particular that I should go to or write to? And what specifically do I say to this person? Do I ask if I produce a paper s that I am no longer on the USA list will I b let into the Philippines? I appreciate u taking the time to answer my post. Please answer because I really want to live in the Philippines the rest of my life. I am 76 now. So who knows.

I personally am on the sex offender list for 20 years. From 1998 to 2019. Level one which is non violent. I was in possession of child porn. Which was mailed to me by the government. For 20 years u have to report where u move to, fill out paperwork as to cars u own, marks inbuilt body, internet names u have used. Every 3 years u must go to the police station and get your picture take. In some ares of the country u can't live within a mile of a school, or play ground. If you r level on as I am u do not have the shame of being looked up on the internet. Thank god. If u want to know more I will answer you.

Superlive, perhaps go to your local police station where you have to report and ask them the procedure and time frame for being removed from the register, paperwork confirming etc.
Good luck.

Cheers, Steve.
