Going to Dalian over summer

Hello,
I am wondering if anybody is living in Dalian or planning to do so over the summer. I would love to make some friends beforehand that I could meet up with to do something with! I鈥檓 au pairing for two months in the city centre. Also if anybody knows a good place (app, website)聽 to meet people then I鈥檇 appreciate that!

I'm vacationing now til end of June. I've been here several times ( from California, USA). I'm a sports person so they have several public sports facilities here ( swimming, gyms...etc). Several bath centers, local neighborhood ones for as low as 10RMB per visit... Its better to connect w/ your workmates because of the language barriers, besides the locals have different habits/customs which westerners find hard to relate to.
