is it possible to live in portugal on 1000.00 pounds a month

Hi
I am looking  for somewhere to live in the world...tried asia but much as I love it i just cannot take the heat.....is it possible to live in portugal on a very limited pension i.e. 1000.00 pounds a month.....i am not looking at a big city or fancy living

It certainly depends on the lifestyle that you live and want...but I think it certainly is possible. Factors like having a car, how many in your family, special diet and do you like going to restaurants etc can affect your budget. I am also assuming that your £1K/monthly included renting too.

yes it includes renting....single ....would not use a car

Then yes, I think it is possible. Of course location will always dictate how much you pay too so you will need to decide on what area(s) you want to live . Don't forget health insurance too.
