Not having a heart attack every time I'm in a car.

When I lived there I missed my family and friends that were far.

To be honest nothing.

The silence.

The only things I miss are rivers and lakes. (And perhaps Guinness!)

I will add to the above and agree with Ray - Silence!

Since 7.00am we have had the gas lorry, two bread vans, a fishmonger and a greengrocer van, all announcing their arrival with their hooters  plus the bin lorry, and it's only 8.30am.

To be honest it does not really bother me and it is quieter here in Victoria than it was in Gharb with all the machine gunners trying to hit a a poor little bird at 4.30am - in the dark!

I still would not consider returning to the UK!

Greenery, variety in shops, Amazon (!!!!), varied day trip destinations important for kids.

Used to moan about the noise but we now live in a very sleepy UCA so thats all good

Around here it's the scrambler bikes with little or no silencers and the school kids on petrol cycles also with no silencers. The guns I have got used to, I did have some the UK, I've even got used to the fireworks. It's a lot better than Qala though but probably not as good as where you are.
I find Scotch helps.. 

Like Volcane, I miss the availability of most things here.
