Advise on where to move in Spain

Hi,

I'm planning on moving to Spain and am hoping I can get some advise on an area to live from people's experiences. I was thinking of Madrid originally because of job opportunities but I've started a new role working remotely so now I can go wherever. And its opened up so much more choice! I love the sea and hiking. I'd like a good size city, and as I'm moving by myself (from London) a place where I have a good chance at meeting people and making friends through social and community activities. I don't speak Spanish or Catalan but definitely plan on starting language classes. Any advise would be really helpful.

Here in Barcelona, it’s the architects who built the buildings that made the city iconic who are the objects of admiration – not a bunch of half-witted monarchs. , Welcome in barcelona
