For buying a property in Belgium do we require a permanent resident card? ( currently in expat status)

Thanks!

No. You dont need PR status to buy property here.

What will happen of you own a property and lost your job?

Rohit45

Most banks (BNP, ING..etc) do look out for an PR before disbursing a home loan.

However, there are some other banks like FINTRO who do provide loans without PR.

Do check and post your status here so that others can also benefit.

if you're self employed, and you decide to buy a house in the company's name ? will it be tax deductible ? and generally what are the taxation rates for self employed individual doing business for a  private limited liability company ?

AlexFromBelgium

As far as I remember, if you live in it, you can only partially deduct, never 100%.
