Review: International School in penang

Post new topic

Hi friends,

Am moving to Penang. Looking for English medium school for children who are studying 1st and 4th Std. Have checked all international school websites in  island-George town.

- Pelita international school
- St. Christopher's International Primary School

These two schools are good in budget point of view. Decent English ascent is much important to me while selecting schools.  Can you share your view ?

Are there any other non international schools who teaches in English medium ?

Is it safe to use school bus  or should we select house near to schools?

Gravitas

A lot depends where you plan to live. Both of these are north of George Town. Pelita has mixed reviews. Check if there is a waiting list at St. Cs. There is also Tenby.

Fairview is in the south of the island and is IB and Straits is that side of George Town. On the mainland is Gems at Pearl City (just over the second bridge and convenient to live and work in Bayan Lepas.

There are not always school buses. St Cs doesnt have (I don't think).

St Christopher is a good school . All expat teachers ( from UK,Poland  mainly ) . Good healthy environment for Kids . most of the Indian expat prefer this school .

St Christopher has a school private bus . But it doesn't go to all the places .
Yes its has a waiting list. Please send email to school and understand the availability
