Most economic taxi company?

That's the question, what company do you use and which is the most economic? some time ago the YellowCabs were the cheapest, but I think now they are out of business.

I usually take Greenr but are rather expensive for some short trips.

Of course, Uber hasn't still reached Malta. I am praying it does soon!

taxify, i dont know if the cheapest but for me they are easiest - app that isnt from the 80s (hello ecabs) and generally their drivers arent insane.

works well with card payments etc

Be aware that quite a lot of the taxi drivers do not have a permit.
The taxis are licenced but the driver isn't! This is particularly obvious at the airport when you see taxis stopped in the public pick up / drop off road because if they use the dedicated taxi road they may get checked by Transport Malta!

Ecabs, Dcabs Hicabs, Taxify, yellow cabs all of them work as uber in Malta, all the taxi service work as that in the island, never take a white taxi, for the same reasons that were state above. Use teh apps, they are good and cheap.聽 Uber will no be a novelty in the island since the taxi service work as them many years ago...
