Babysitter in Goa

Post new topic

KristiLA

Hey, I'm wondering what is an average hourly wage for someone who takes care of your baby? My neighbours are such a wonderful family and taking care of my baby for few hours a day. They don't expect money but I would be happy to pay them so I'm wondering how much would be a decent payment.

Hello Kristila

I think 250 Rs per hour should be the minimum rate.
Also, as you told that you have a wonderful relation with that family then paying money will perhaps not look nice. This is my opinion.
However; I have a suggestion that rather than paying money you could be giving them some Utility items of similar value at regular intervals.
In this way you will be done with your part and they also will not feel offended.
I hope I made my point and we can discuss further also if you wish
Thanks

KristiLA

Thank you so much for your reply!

I was thinking it could be offensive that I go there with money when they actually enjoy babysitting and simply love my daughter. It's not like I'm hiring a professional with set hours.

And thanks for the tips about utility items! Sounds so much better than simply giving money.
