Tks.

A British acquaintance of mine used the postal method of renewal last year from Malaysia, no problem. I don't know which courier service was used.

Passport office in UK use DX for all passport deliveries but not sure if they pass onto some other courier .

Gravitas

Passport office use DHL from UK to Malaysia.

Update......  New Passports, followed a day day later by old ones,  received back 2 weeks to the day we sent via DHL to Liverpool. Had excellent updates and responses to queries from PP office, DHL service and updates not to be faulted.

That's good news - glad it all went so smoothly for you.

That's good and I had the same experience EXCEPT one of my kid's cancelled passport has yet to arrive and there is no record of it being picked up by DHL, according to them. Called the UK Passport helpline and the staff simply insisted that it may take up to 2 weeks later for supporting documents to arrive. Two weeks have now passed so will have to follow up again.

Sorry to hear that, hope it turns up soon.  I was lucky, our old passports arrived the day following the new ones.
I was pretty pleased with the PP office responses about things pertaining the the passports but they do seem to lack some information regarding courier arrangements.  Fortunately the DHL staff  in Kuching are very good and made great efforts to find all the numbers for us.

After the 3rd week (i.e. a week later than informed by UK passport office), I got a notification email from DHL to say a package was on the way. About a week later, thankfully, we received my daughter's cancelled passport.

All in all, a fairly good service.

That's good news, really pleased for you, can be quite a stressful experience when things like that happen.

Gravitas

According to British newspapers there is a huge rush on at the moment to renew UK passes because of Brexit

Thanks! Appreciate the support and hope everyone else's goes smoothly, too.

Now for visa renewals, in Shah Alam - lol!

Hope that goes well for you.......  So fortunate here in Kuching, we went to Immigration Office last week to get residency visas transferred to new passports, got new visas - no cost within 50 minutes. :D
