I am new to cairo. I own an apartment and have personal funds. I am retired over seventy. I still was u able to get information on how to apply for a yearly residence to facilitate my everyday life in great country: Egypt.

In order for my husband to get me my residency here in Cairo, we had to go to the Mogamma building. For us it was a long process and lots of copies of my passport. I qualified for a 5 year residency but was only granted a one year residency that I will have to renew by August of this year. In Shaa Allah I hope the process will be easier for you. But yeah, I would just go to the Mogamma building downtown across from the Egyptian museum, and just ask them where to apply for residency.
