Corvera airport

Post new topic

Hi all.
Thank you for allowing me to join the forum. Anyone used the new Murcia airport? Flights from UK seem hit & miss and the reviews about the airport seem dire!
Still looks like I am flying into Alicante as flights out on Sundays are nil!
Do we think it will improve in time?
Thank you

I do not know anything about that airport.   But there is info here which might help you

Thank you. It is new I know, but considering it is “ international” it isn’t very busy and flights are few and far between. Hoping it picks up and we have will have more flight options in time.

Ա.

I understand there was no commercial reason to build the airport.

Like a few others in spain it was more a status symbol than a requirement. See here for others:-

That is has international in the name again has no actual significance.  .

Back in the UK, I can think of 2 airports that although were international they were both quiet. They both closed in the end. When I visit family in Wales, I have to go via Amsterdam or Paris to fly to Cardiff.
