If your loan was passed to recovery and case filed in court, you will have difficulty getting a clearance certificate especially since after this long, the court would have issued travel ban or arrest orders.  Even if you get a certificate, it will not be a clear certificate and will mention legal cases against you - which makes it useless for immigration purposes.

That is why I always say to settle all loans whenever leaving a country.  You may escape then but you never know when you might need something which your history might cause problems with.

I just got hired for a new job but in order for me to proceed with it I need police clearance. I have a loan and since I lost my job I cannot pay for it and then put me in travel ban but I have been paying for it for the last year but they said need to pay full amount to get me cleared as rules have recently changed. I just want to ask if I can get a police clearance even with my case?
