RSA to Brisbane - Where do we start?

Hi all!

My husband and I are seriously considering Brisbane for better work opportunities, etc.

Where does one start? Worker's permit first? My husband is a qualified Mechanical Engineer, so we'll probably go over on his skills. Any advice on where to start and via which channels will be very much appreciated.

There is a skilled immigration list which gives preference for those who hold qualifications and experience in those fields.
