Which municipality?

Hello again.

I'm heading over to The Netherlands soon. I don't have a permanent residence as of yet but I will be staying with my friend. My company has offered me to use their address in Amsterdam as my temporary residence address in the mean time until I find a permanent one. Which Municipality do I go to to register for my BSN number? The one closest to where I'll be staying with a friend or the one close to my work address?

Thanks!

To get BSN you need to rigesterd in Gemmente. There are some requirements to rigesterd your self you need proof of adress where are you going to stay like house contract or a letter from the person where you are going to stay. This person also have to gi with you to gemmente to rigesterd your self to Gemmente.  So where your are staying in that city you need to rigesterd.  It's very essay to change gemmente after you get permit residence any other city.

You register at the Gemeentehuis where you are living (not working); you are required to register within 5 days of arriving.  When you register, you will get your BSN number and DigID.  With your BSN, you will be able to register at the doctor, open a bank account;  with your DigID you can advise the Gemeente of any changes to your circumstances.
