Hi
I'm currently in Maceio and looking for a school where I can teach English.
Any recommendations?

There's no way to bootstrap a tourist visa into a work visa by teaching English, if that's your real question.   All work visas need to be approved by the Labor Ministry; no school will sponsor your application, because they know it will be rejected.   No school will hire you under the table, for fear of detection and penalties.
If you DO have legal authorization to work in Brazil, be sure to tell any school you talk to about it right away.  You probably won't like the pay scale, but they may hire you.  If not, enjoy the rest of your visit, and be careful not to complicate your life by overstaying your visa.
