Hello NCWu,
There have many places in hcmc where have table tennis and badminton ;) Ur staying in D3, so i think "Cung van hoa lao dong" in the corner of Truong Dinh and Nguyen thi Minh Khai street, d1 is quite close your house.. they have table tennis, badminton, tennis, basketball, swimming pool there also :p

And I used to play table tennis in 143 Nguyen Du Street, D1 in high school time.. its next to Galaxy Cinema :p quite good place.. but the problem is they close quite soon

Enjoy ur time in Saigon :p
*cheer*

Hey lostsouls,

Tell me about it....could drink all night!

I work for a surgeon managing patient care and development. At the moment got a few weeks off to settle in. What about you?

By the way...the food here is great too, especially the pho - can't get enough of it!! Other than district 1, where else can we get good vietnamese dishes?

:)

Bro, you really got me tempting about it. But Im still in Singapore, could not join you at the moment.

Im having an interview with Kinderworld school tomorrow. It will be a video conferencing interview, as an ICT trainer. Hopefully I can clinch the job.

Bro, I love xoi man. Its my favorite food in Vietnam. But beware, you will constipate because its glutinous rice.:lol:

Theres a small roadside stall at Bui Vien street if im correct that sells fried beef noodles (noodles are maggee mee)& its friggin delicious, but I believe they only sells it at the evening onwards.

The pho is awesome. The soup tastes like Laksa.:lol:

Did you try the insects or dog meat?:o:o

Hi NCWu

District 5 is Chinatown in Viet Nam with lots of restaurant( both of Vienamese food and chinese food),ex : An Duong Vuong street.most of local pubs are cheap, oF cause beer.:P

( whisper:local pub's more than school):D

Let's try street food: Bánh mì,bánh xèo, cơm tấm, bánh canh, bún bò...

Nguyen Trai street-district 1 or Nguyen Thien Thuat street-district 3 is good idea for street food.
