Hello guys.

I know that many people asked this question but I didn't get my answer.
I have an offer from Denmark, Copenhagen and I decided to relocate there. But I am worried about cost of living there.
I am married and I have a baby (infant) and my wife is not going to work there.
Is this salary worth to relocate to Copenhagen?
Consider the salary is 40000 DKK and after the tax is 24000 DKK

Thanks

Not if you intend to live in the Copenhagen area. The living expenses is too high.

Thank you for your reply. How much salary per month do you think is enough to live in Copenhagen with my circumstances?

Try for living costs.

I can recommend that you scroll down to the bottom on  the front page where you'll find many other relevant answers under All categories.

Based on a yearly income of 480,000 kroner, living in Gladsaxe municipality, your wife doesn't work, the tax will amount to 153,894 kroner. Net income 326,000 kroner, monthly 27,000 kroner.

About housing, I would guess that you shall count on 11-12,000 kroner for the housing. Another 3 * 800 kroner = 2,400 for utilities, household 4-5,000 kroner. Guesstimate 20,000 kroner monthly.

You only ask if your offered salary is worth relocating for. You don't ask if the salary correcponds to your education, experience .........
General spoken, the offer is far below what most expats are offered, but as it depends of course on many factors, it might be right in your situation.
