Voice Actor Needs QUIET House in Mexico City (Casa Tranquila)

Post new topic

EverybodyLovesJack

I am an American voice actor and author currently living in Mexico and interested in relocating to Mexico City. I narrate and produce audiobooks for a living, apart from writing, and that requires an extremely quiet workspace. I'm looking for a two- or three-bedroom house or apartment in Mexico City. Barking dogs, loud music and noisy neighbors won't work.

I have to sleep with earplugs because working with audio all these years has made my ears very sensitive to noise.

I am happy to pay to have one of the bedrooms soundproofed. This adds an extra layer of drywall to the room, and once it's repainted it will look perfectly normal (only a few inches or a few centimeters of space will be lost because of the extra layer of drywall on each wall).

I get paid royalties so I have guaranteed income. I want to save money, so I am looking for a place that is $7000 - $12,000 pesos and has two- or three-bedrooms.

A place that is close to some nice restaurants, cafes, bars or other places where gorgeous women congregate is a bonus. I'm a single guy aged 39. ;)

Hello EverybodyLovesJack,

Welcome to Expat.Com  :)

I suggest that you post an advert in the Housing in Mexico City section of the website so that you might get some offers.

All the best,
Bhavna

All I see are people advertising properties at the link you provided. There doesn't appear to be any way for me to put a post up on that section of this website. When I click "Post it Here" on the right side of the website the next page is for posting a property NOT for people looking for a house.

Basic information about your listing, in that section you have to click on the "Looking for an accommodation" instead of "Offering an accommodation".

> Click on "Post it here"
Under Type of property
Category
>For rent
Type
> Apartment or House (as you wish)

And the following step/section will give you what i posted above :
Basic information about your listing, in that section you have to click on the "Looking for an accommodation" instead of "Offering an accommodation".

Regards,
Bhavna
