Are you a dog or a cat person? A pet can add life to a home and make an ideal travel companion during your expatriation in Panama.

However, formalities or regulations might put you off traveling with your pet making adoption a better option.

Are there any particular rules or procedures for the adoption of an animal in Panama?

What are the costs associated with adopting a pet in Panama?

Are there different procedures depending on the animal?

Hello

There are not regulations for adopting pets in Panama nor has to be registered the adoption.

A vet can take care of vaccinations and care for the pet and issue a vaccine card with the information of the pet.

For birds it is advised to register them at the Anam office where a document will be issued stating that you are the caretaker for the bird.
