Hi Henry! Im actually doing a internship currently aswell. The main advice i´d give you when it comes to tax is having a rent versicherung number. You´ll need one to get paid! But your employer should help you out with that. A website I found useful when researching before my job was . Can you speak german?

“What’s the tax system like in Germany?” Is a rather unspecific question - and impossible to answer in just a few sentences.
I’d therefore just say “complicated” - 80% of the world‘s tax literature is about Germany.
In case you meant just taxation of personal earned income, there were also plenty of discussions on this forum, which you might want to read.
If you have more specific questions, please feel free to post them here.

Thanks aisling I´ll give that a look, yes I can speak german relatively well so I´m not to worried about moving over. I hear all Germans have very good english aswell though.

Thanks beppi, I am only really interested in my own income tax right now but maybe in the future i´ll be more interested in the whole system!

Yes they definitely do! They´re nearly too good, sometimes I find it hard to find oppurtunitys to practice my German and I´m living in Germany!

huh not ideal! When I move over I would really love to improve my German!
