This action is INSANE.  This won't protect the Mexican people because they are ALREADY infected.  We should kick out all 20 million illegals out of the USA, just on PRINCIPLE.

I read that in my email that I still get, even though I chose to relocate over here to Vietnam. instead.

That's what I had planned to do: find a nice little tourist class hotel somewhere and live an uncomplicated life.

Shuttle back and forth to Southern California.

I'm really glad I didn't make that choice now.

Instead I have a sweet apartment in a beach town in Vietnam and I don't have to do anything until September 1st.

I hope they don't try to kick somebody out who doesn't have anywhere to go in their native country.

Yes pretty much, the hotels in Merida are closed, the restaurants are closed with only limited take out available, and the police will have many questions for you especially if you are not a resident of Merida. You might also get at least one temperature check. The gas stations have limited or closed their bathrooms, although I found if you buy gas they might open them.

In Campeche almost all restaurants are closed, the mall is closed and all but essential stores are closed. You cannot sit in the park. The banks are of course open but they restrict how many people can be in them. The markets are open and fortunately don't have the extreme security some of the Merida markets have.

People can not be in groups anywhere unless it seems they are in the upper levels of government in the U.S. and here.
People, especially the police seem to think it's an old persons virus so they really focus on anyone over 40. A lack of valid real information is common. Somehow they missed the frail or sick part of the story. I could give a two-hour lecture on that but I won't

I'm in Colombia right now and I was thinking of coming to Mexico then the USA but due to the virus I decided to rent an apartment temporary. I wouldn't be desperately looking forward to o be int he USA right now even if the government give me the chance to do it. This country is not prepared for the pandemia and the  virus is spreading so fast!  Please Think twice! guys . If you have money to pay for the long stay then find a room or temporary place... Until this horrible situation is over... Here in Colombia is not that bad... They are taking care and giving people financial aid and quarantine is kept.
Hope you can stay safe in Mexico as long as this virus is going around.

Who are you talking to?  and what are you talking about? I don't see any bigoted comments. Perhaps you can highlight them.

The original message is in fact old news now. The restrictions are easing in many places. In order to know what is happening you have to check pretty much every day.
