Travel with pets from and back to Italy

I wish to travel with my two small poodles from Italy to NYC and back. Do any of you have experience in doing so and perhaps can advise on what paperwork is required?

Hi,

The process is the same for every European country. Pets must fully vaccined. Especially against rabbies.

You can call this kind of society for information

Yes, but unfortunately NYC is not in EU... So again, my question pertains to travel from Italy to NYC (USA) and back. Assume all vaccinations in order. And EU doggy passport in place, what else is required?

I saw a similar post from a couple of expats trying to get back to Australia. There is a company which can do all the required documentation, but i won't publicise them here. I am sure that an intelligent consultatin with Dr Google aroung the theme of pets and jets will turn something up. I expect though that this will be a very expensive exercise!
